Steps to Preparing Your Mixdown
Getting a good mixdown is the key to a well balanced track. After making all the different tracks, instruments, and such you want to spend time in making it all fit together just right for your mixdown. This article is going to go over preparing your mixdown with tips and techniques. Step one: Preparation and Intention The first thing to think of when building your track, even before this stage and durning, is what type of music are you making. If you are making hip hop or techno then your kick is HUGE and takes up a large part of the mix. If you are doing a rock song then less so. Downtempo is more about melody, and so forth. Having this in your mind will inform all your choices. Think what is the most important parts of this song, and your genre. Next step in preparation is leveling out. Make sure your master is at 0 with no compression or anything on it. Next make sure all your tracks do not peak past 0. Try and mix the elements as balanced as possible.

Upcoming Summer Tour
This summer we are going to be splashing around in the cool waters and dancing in the forest. Looking forward to being out there sharing music across the West Cost.New Album will be released May 20th and after that I am going to be out playing the coast. IN the next month or so I will be announcing the schedual. Will be playing with such acts as Bluetech and other big names across the coast. State of the Studio Address
Just wanted to do a shout out that I am deep in the studio. Spent the last month on a new body of work and will be finishing up in a month more, hopefully. The sound has grown a little and moved in different directions. The theme I have realized for this new album is Transformation and to move from one state to another. I find myself in a moment of flux and personal growth with music. I am infusing this into the tracks I create and hope to share the story of my own expansion.More to come soon!
