Immerge Album Released
The newest Subaqueous Album, Immerge, Has dropped into the world today. Shilo Urban wrote this about the album: Working with a variety of guest artists from vocalists to udu players, Subaqueous creates a fluid, well balanced album of downtempo electronica inhabited by tribal drums, deep grooves and vagrant melodies. Using gypsy scales to create an enigmatic vibe, Immerge evokes an inner journey through trance-inducing basslines that roll beneath a heavy beauty. Lead single “Gypsy Splash” cloaks a thick, soothing jam with multiple layers and quickly turns bizarre, emerging through fun sonic chunks with a mysterious melody that leaves you wandering - music for modern day nomads. The unsettlingly beauty of “Cryptic” lurks beneath a broad bassline, brushed across by astral winds until it gradually flows over. “Flux” builds its energy to a gritty intensity with a drop that slides in sideways, while “In Spire” uses loose drums and low lights to breath fresh air into a shimmering groove. From soothing tracks with gritty edges to hip-shaking world sounds and spaced-out desert jams, the distinct emotional atmosphere of Immerge creates a contented glow of

Free Waveshapers and Adding Color to Your Mix.
In this article I wanted to go over some free Waveshapers I like to use to add a little flavor or cruch to the mix. These are great free VST’s that will give you a wider sonic tone to play with. To start lets define what Waveshapers are and then below will be a list of a few free VST waveshapers I like. In electronic music waveshaping is a type of distortion synthesis in which complex spectra are produced from simple tones by altering the shape of the waveforms. Waveshapers are just that, they reshape the waveform and create different sonic effects. Cyanide

The remix contest brought out a lot of amazing music. Everyone that was aprt of it was making cutting edge music. Last year I did a contest, but this year blew it out of the water because of all the talent. Judging was really hard, ut with some other musician's opinions I have the winners to the contest. Thank you for everyone else involved in and was apart of it. Big thanks to all the companies that chipped in as well. They helped support the music cause so that is yet another reason to support small music companies. Ok so the winners. Grand Prize: Nossu, an up and coming musician from France, made a fantastic remix as a collaboration with a vocalist. There hip hop style rhymes with a touch of electro dubstep really toook it to a sweet spot. Check out there remix and see where they took it. Runner up: Runner up was also a neck to neck. Michael John from St Lucia mad an amazing Reggae remix. It blended a lot of organic sounds and was fantastically made. His moniker is Shortmanb's and is a producer to watch in the future. Frequency Guide: A Rundown of Ranges
FREQUENCY GUIDE: A rundown of frequency ranges One of the keys to a good mix in your music is making sure each instrument has it’s own place. understanding what instruments cross over each other in frequency and how to eq it is essential. So for instance if you have a low end guitar and a cello they are about the same frequency and you will have to eq and mix them in a way that they both have space for the qualities you are looking for. There are also some trouble frequencies to look out for in your mix. Below is a list of frequencies and some concerns and techniques you might keep in mind to insure a good mix. 50Hz : Sub bass 1. Increase to add more fullness to lowest frequency instruments like foot, floor tom, and the bass. 2. Reduce to decrease the “boom” of the bass and will increase overtones and the recognition of bass line in the mix. This is most often used on loud bass lines like rock. 100Hz 1. Increase to add a harder bass sound to
