InTerraTree Contest Winners
InTerraTree is an ecovillage project in Togo, West Africa cooperatively designed with locals to meet their needs while fostering creative collaboration between cultures. For the last several months, Drums For Development, along with Icaro, Numatik, Futexture, Biomigrant, bioLuMigen, Mumukshu, Soulacybin, Erothyme, and Subaqueous have been working on an album to help remember that we are all united through the power of creative expression and that we gain new sources of inspiration when we come together to collaboratively create between cultures. What started off as five (5) original tribal tracks recorded by the members of Centre Des Hommes in Togo, West Africa have now been remixed into modern electronic soundscapes. 100% of the proceeds of this album go towards InTerraTree; an ecovillage project in Togo, West Africa cooperatively designed with locals to meet their needs while fostering creative collaboration between cultures! They are empowering people to come together globally, learn from one another, and create a better world! Thick Delays Effect Rack
If you have ever been working on a beat or track and felt it just wasn't "glued" together then you might find the thing it is missing is a good Delay. Delay can add amazing texture and smoothness to your track. Delays can also add spice to your live performances and create lush sounds. A fellow ableton producer, Michael Durek, put together an amazing effect rack to give you a cool tool for adding Delay. He also offered up the effect rack to the community on here. I am really excited to work with Michael. He is an amazing musician and has his project called The Use and he just released his new debut album. AfroDjMac #100 Free Ableton Rack
A few years back I was stumped making music. I just felt like the sounds I had were uninteresting. Cruzing around online I ran into AfroDjMac's website. I downloaded some of his packs and loaded them in ableton. I had a lot of fun playing with them and found some new creative fire. I got a chance to hang out with AfroDjMac at the Ableton certification program and have some mad respect for what he does. Today he released his 100th free ableton rack. Awesome! (aq) Push Pack for Aftertouch
Ableton Push is an amazing instrument for laying down new musical ideas as well as a performance tool. The Push also has the ability to use Aftertouch. In playing with the aftertouch feature in Live I notices I wanted some specific controls over it. That way I can make the Aftertouch either have a threshold, or delay when it comes in. I spent a few months creating an Max For Live device to control Aftertouch to get these exact effects. I worked with Chris Schlyer and Icaro Ferre to get this device done. They are amazing Max For Live wizards and helped make this a reality. After a lot of beta testing I have the finished device. If you are playing the instrument under this threshold of pressure then the Aftertouch will not be triggered. If you press down harder and pass the threshold, then the aftertouch will be engaged. Conscious Collaborations is at it again!!! Three days of music, themed camping, art, workshops, vending and community. Don't miss out on the best Spring Break party in the Northwest. Subaqueous will be performing on Friday with such artist as Vibesquad, Lafa Taylor, and more. I am really excited to kick the spring off right and will be my first festival of 2014.
