Do I need anything else for the class?
All you need is a computer with internet connection, Ableton Live, and preferably headphones.
What is the best way to take notes?
During the class you are encouraged to take notes. It helps in retaining the knowledge. You can do this by hand, which is best for retaining, or you can record the screen cast. Basically you can record whatever your screen sees, so you can view it later. Here are the best options:
FREE CamStudio – PC http://camstudio.org/
PAID ScreenFlow – Mac http://www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm (best of all 3)
Zoom also has a recording function. So far it works 75% of the time. If you want we can record the screen through the Zoom app.
How can I cancelling a class?
Life can always throw a curveball, and being flexible can help everyone involved. At the same time having everyone reschedule and cancel an hour before leads to a lot of lost time for the teacher. Because of this please be very communicative of when you can not make a class as well as plan ahead. In this document the cancellation policy is laid out. If you have to cancel a class, it needs to be 48 hours before or you own for 1 hour of time. If you miss or forget about the class, you still owe for 1 hour of time.
When Should I schedule a class?
It is best to schedule a class a week a head. If you have a class all set, it is nice to know when you are free next so after the class you can schedule the next one.
How does ownership of my mixes you help me with work?
If you are having one of your tracks evaluated / worked on by Isaac Cotec then it is still your track. You own complete copyright and can do whatever you want with it.
Now if this was an example set that Isaac Cotec made, or a preset he is sharing then he still owns that. You can use it for whatever you want, but you can not resell the pack, teaching material, or presets made by him during a class.
How long are most classes?
This can vary, but in general classes are kept at 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
