This year I was proud to announce the first ever mix contest. In the past, I have thrown remix contest, but this was unique because I didn’t give out stems. Instead, I gave a bunch of tools from this website and let the producer do what they will. What came out of this was some amazing original music. I am proud to announce the winners of the competition.
The track by Octonaut just blew me away. There is so much subtlety and movement in it. He also really used the samples well in a unique but present way. Clayton’s track also had such a good vibe using the Hang and many other instruments. Such a progressive track. Last of the winners is Bblunt Productions. This is such an amazing track and production. The only reason it wasn’t high rank is there are less obvious uses of the samples, but it is a stellar track.
