Fibonacci Sequence Delay in Ableton Live
Using interesting mathematics in our effects and music can add a natural depth to the sound. House Beat Sample Library – Free Download
Have you sat down to work on a track and wanted to throw in a beat for inspiration? You then build out the track and you realize that Loop you used will only get you so far. You wish you had the kick separated, or that strange minimal sound. Well... That is exactly what I had in mind when I made this new Deep Tribal House Loop Library. 6 Best Free Ableton Live Pack and Effects
An awesome Ableton Live Pack can be really inspirational. Once and a while I look online for a new technique, sound design, or idea and love checking out Ableton Live Packs and Racks to play around. In this article, I am going to list off some of my favorite packs and why I would use them. This is the cream of the drop. 1. Turntable Scratch For Days In my live sets I’ve always wanted to add a turntable scratch sound. One day when I was looking it up I found this awesome free pack by Yehezkel Raz at 4live.com. SoundCloud just unleashed their newest mistake called SoundCloud Go. SoundCloud Go has completely changed the way I look at SoundCloud and to me it is ushering in its own demise. In this article I am going to be looking at Soundcloud Go and how it affects the indie musician. I am also going to look at how musicians should be an active voice in the discussion. To start lets look at what Soundcloud Go is. In the email announcement I got today from SoundCloud they said; Soundcloud Go is offering an expanded catalog of tracks and albums that are new to the platform as well as ad-free, offline listening. We’ll also continue to have the existing free ad-supported listening experience. Ok, so lets decipher that. Basically Soundcloud is now going to charge listeners $9.99 a month to listen to music add free. I like how they state having a free ad-supported listening experience is a perk, we will debunk that soon enough. Having a collection of morphing Sound Effects can add a depth and texture to your music production. I worked with Animatronix to share this impressive collection of Sound FX's. Animatronix put together this psychedelic collection of added sparkles, drops, and breakdowns. This by donation / free library contains impacts, weaponry, liquid mechanics and psychedelic sweeps. This is sample library is perfect for cinematic moments, complex transitions, and adding sound design strangeness to your tracks. Animatronix had this to say about the pack, "The sound design techniques I used to create Sonic Wizardry is layering of multiple samples from my found and folly recording library as well as mixed with my synthetic library of sounds. The Tax Live Pack and Competition
In the United States the dreaded tax season is upon us. As much fun as this subject is, I wanted to put together a fun new Live Pack and competition for all the music makers out there. I got my hands on some recordings of a vintage cash machine and played with some coins to make a fun new Drum Rack. The Live Pack, samples, and Drum Rack is a by Donation/Free download. I also know there are a lot of musicians out there that want an excuse to not do their taxes, so don't worry I got you covered. I took the drum rack and made a quick little song sketch using an interview with Bernie Sanders. It's the start of a Trap Tax song.
